Three Shows. Three Ways to Make Theater.
At Young People’s Theater, we believe there’s more than one way to make theater—and more than one way to find your place onstage.
This season, we’re giving young performers three very different opportunities to explore what it means to create, perform, collaborate, and grow.
Whether you’re ready to experiment with something completely new, dive deep into a musical, or step into a little bit of magic, there’s a place for you at YPT.

OFF BOOK
A musical-theater mixtape about growing up.
Grades 4–12
What happens when you take the songs and scenes that don’t fit neatly into a traditional YPT production—and put them all in one show?
Off Book is our brand-new cabaret experience, bringing together a smaller group of young performers to explore solos, duets, ensemble numbers, choreography, and musical-theater material we wouldn’t otherwise get to perform.
It’s about growing up: figuring out who you are, where you belong, who you love, and who you’re becoming.
Experiment. Take a risk. See what happens.

FREAKY FRIDAY
See the world from someone else’s perspective.
Grades 6–12
What if you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes?
When a mother and daughter magically swap bodies, they discover that understanding each other might be harder—and more important—than they ever imagined.
Freaky Friday is a high-energy musical comedy about family, growing up, empathy, and learning to see the people closest to us in a whole new way.
As a YPT Intensive, this production offers young performers a concentrated musical-theater experience focused on character, music, choreography, collaboration, and the process of creating a show together.
Go deeper. Work together. Make it yours.

MARY POPPINS
Dream big. Make magic. Take the stage.
Grades K–12
Some stories simply beg to be brought to life.
Mary Poppins invites young performers into a world of imagination, adventure, music, and a little bit of magic. Together, they’ll create memorable characters, sing unforgettable songs, dance, and build something extraordinary as an ensemble.
And when the curtain rises at the Power Center, they’ll get to share it with the whole community.
Dream big. Make magic. Take the stage.
Three Shows. Three Ways to Make Theater.
Experiment.
See things differently.
Make magic.
This season, there’s a place for every kind of young performer at Young People’s Theater.
Come find yours.
