What if you could spend a day in someone else’s shoes?
When an overworked mom and her teenage daughter magically swap bodies, they suddenly have to navigate each other’s lives—and discover that understanding someone else might be harder, and more important, than they ever imagined.
Freaky Friday is a high-energy musical comedy about family, growing up, letting go, and learning to see the people closest to us in a whole new way. Packed with humor, heart, and infectious music, it’s an opportunity for a YPT cast to dive into big characters, strong ensemble work, and plenty of theatrical fun.
As a YPT Intensive, this production offers young performers a concentrated musical theater experience focused on character, music, choreography, collaboration, and the process of taking a show from the rehearsal room to the stage.
