Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature,The Hunchback of Notre Dame tells the story of Quasimodo, the Notre Dame bell-ringer who was raised in the cathedral by the archdeacon Claude Frollo. Quasimodo finally finds the courage to journey into Paris during the Feast of Fools, where he meets Esmeralda. The outside world is more than Quasimodo ever imagined — both wonderful and cruel — but when Frollo makes it his mission to secure the city from outsiders, Quasimodo has to decide if he is going to cling to his sanctuary or do everything in his power save the city and its people.

Audiences will be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable musical. Due to the nature of the story, The Hunchback of Notre Dame will likely resonate more with audience members ages 6 and up. It is worth noting, however, that for our main-stage shows at Young People’s Theater, we work hard to create theatrical experiences that will be interesting to audiences of all ages, and — in that spirit — we believe there is something for everyone in this show.
